What you'll do
Every Friday morning, set off to explore the magical Vallombrosa forest with us.
With a total altitude difference of 330 metres, this 6.6 km trek is loop route to and from the ancient abbey of Vallombrosa.
Wear trekking shoes and bring suitable clothing for wind and rain, along with a water bottle.
Walk in the shade of fir trees and majestic beech trees, along the Via del Saltino, a renowned health resort frequented by travellers in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
At the end of the excursion you will have an hour of free time to visit the renowned Abbey, where you will find the famous pharmacy selling products made directly by the monks. You can also enjoy the large meadow at Vallombrosa, an excellent location for a picnic!
